My name is Benjamin Gapany, I am currently 27 and I’m a Digital Specialist.
As almost every person working in this field, I am someone with a great passion for technology, indeed, I truly think we are currently living in a very important era, I believe that technology is and will define the way we see the future. It represents a great source of opportunities for every entrepreneur!
In my opinion, digital marketing allows everyone to push their own limits. Let's take the example of a craftsman: as a craftsman, you can stand out and grow by using digital channels to expand your audience, broaden your offer and increase the scope of your actions, thus considerably expanding your business. These opportunities are created thanks to digital technology and good practice. This scheme applies to all types of businesses.

#Digital Marketing and Me

My background:
I have been graduated from a Bachelor degree in Marketing Trade and Commerce and more recently from an International Master's degree in Digital Marketing at Créa. These two trainings allowed me to build a solid foundation in marketing and to discover my passion for digital.
In my opinion, Digital is a field full of novelty, innovation and evolution, and therefore requires curiosity, because marketing specialists have a constant duty to listen and adapt to the market, especially in this environment that remains fresh and evolving. This is one of the reasons why I love travelling, indeed, we are often confronted with the unknown and we are led to discover new things and this allows us to get out of our comfort zone. As a dynamic and versatile person, I am focused on analysis, I like to understand why and how a campaign has worked better and obviously how to optimize it. Through my various professional experiences, I have regularly been able to put my analytical skills to good use, particularly as an IT Application Tester as a Digital Project Manager or more recently as a Traffic Manager. I have a taste for details, an observation that I have been able to develop thanks to one of my passions, photography.
I also have a particular taste for strategy, and I love to take part in it! As a Digital Project Manager at Havas and as a Traffic Manager at Smood I was often asked to create, participate and presented strategies that focus on partners, special events, special projects while taking into account a multitude of factors. This is clearly an area where I want to invest more in the future. As a marketing lead for the first few months (rebuild of the marketing department) I have created a full marketing plan for a big project (Migros) and we have implemented the various actions planned while respecting a budget. It was a crazy experience but really stressful, I would be happy to share with you my experiences!
In my daily work, I am in constant contact with various actuaries such as graphic designers, media agencies, programmatic agencies and partners. This is something I enjoy because I love to exchange, learn and submit my ideas. I really appreciate collaboration, it's one of the levers of evolution and improvement. These are values that I learned while playing basketball.

Smood:
More recently, I was hired by the Geneva startup Smood where I took on the responsibilities of "Traffic Manager". However, my responsibilities were much broader. I was in charge of creating and managing conversion and traffic campaigns: search, display, videos (Google Adwords & Microsoft Ads) and reporting. I was also in charge of the social advertising account (Facebook business manager) as well as reporting and recommendation suggestions. Some activities that I’ve particularly appreciated.
I also took part in marketing project management activities (collaboration with Migros), market strategy presentations, OOH & DOOH campaigns, branding strategy and a lot more. This experience was very enriching. I would be happy to tell you a little more about it so please contact me directly.
Havas:
As a Digital Project Manager (intern) at Havas, I've determined project scope/cost and assessing objectives to build solid relationships and encourage team collaboration. I have complementary expertise in social media, marketing strategy development, campaign support and monitoring.
Créa:
At Créa, I've worked on few projects, we were involved in « workshops », this format allowed me to build my overall skills in digital and more precisely in strategy, area that I appreciate. More recently I was in charge to work on my Master's Thesis which had as problematic "How top Luxury watch brands are embracing an E-Business strategy", through this complete realization, I got familiarized with the Luxury Codes, I understand the digital stakes that Luxury companies have to face with. Therefore, I understand the strategy implemented by some actors.
